Hacker Pschorr – Being Decisive

The Challenge- For the Hacker-Pschorr campaign, the objective was to create a bold, timeless aesthetic defined by high-contrast cool and warm tones. However, the primary technical hurdle was maintaining strict brand compliance: the color of the beer. Hacker-Pschorr has non-negotiable requirements for their product’s hue, which often clashes with aggressive creative grading. I was tasked with delivering a premium, “moody” look without shifting the product’s identity.

The Execution- Utilizing my mastery of the DaVinci Resolve suite, I employed a series of advanced techniques to protect the products integrity. By using high-precision qualifiers, 3D tracking, and custom color-warping, I was able to push the background and skin tones into a rich, stylized palette while “pinning” the beer’s golden hues to their designated brand coordinates. This allowed the overall grade to feel expansive and artistic without compromising the client’s most important asset.

The Outcome- The result was a truly special commercial look that balances cinematic flair with commercial precision. The project successfully met the rigorous branding standards of Hacker-Pschorr while providing a visual experience that stands the test of time. This project stands as a benchmark for my ability to navigate the delicate line between creative expression and corporate brand consistency.
